Nigeria And Israel Sign Aviation Deal - Now Nigerians Can Fly To Holy Land Directly

Nigeria and Israel signed a bilateral aviation deal, the Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA), that enables airlines from both countries to fly directly to each other without stopovers. Before this agreement was signed, Nigerians, including Christian Pilgrims, traveling to Israel had endure several flight changes, JNS.org reports The agreement has been inked duringa visit of the Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to Israel. President is to to meet with Israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahuand PresidentShimon Peresto discuss further deepening the countries' bilateral ties. Proponents of the deal hope that the agreement will continue the strong growth of Israel-Nigeria ties. It will be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan has embark on a Christian pilgrimage to Israel on Wednesday, October 23. He is accompanied by eight governors, seven ministers and three members of the National Assembly. Among them is the Nigeria's Minister of Aviation,Stella Oduah, who also take part in the Piligrimmage, has left for Israel right after she found herself in the center of a corruption scandal.
